FREDDIE VANDERFORD AND BRANDON TURNER Freddie Vanderford and Brandon Turner, Acoustic Blues duo renowned over the South for their interpretation of the Piedmont Blues. Freddie and Brandon have both garnered many accolades and much appreciation for their musical attributes. Freddie is a South Carolina Arts Commission Laney Harris honoree.

CONSERVATION THEORY Conservation Theory is the Appalachian Folk band of upstate South Carolina. Traveling across the south and into the Midwest they play over 100 dates throughout the festival season every year. Since 2007 CT has been bringing the sound of their home crafted tunes to audiences everywhere.

JEREMY BREWER Jeremy Brewer, another seasoned musical journeyman will bring his duo acoustic show to the Appalachian Homecoming stage. Steeped in traditional music and unafraid to reach for the boundary his music travels across genres to reach a multi layered audience. An astute song writer and instrumentalist he also is part of the Americana/rock outfit Taught By Heros

VILAI HARRINGTON Vilai Harrington brings the acoustic Americana to life with his songs from the road and musical travels. Playing guitar and banjo and writing songs going from the heart all the way into outerspace Harrington covers all emotions. His clawhammer style on banjo brings the haunting sound of the Appalachians and the African origins of the instrument to the listeners ears.

AMONGST THE TREES Acoustic duo and sometime three piece with drums Amongst The Trees brings acoustic appeal, high harmonies, original song writing and familiar covers to the table. Tremendous finger picking guitar and improvisational bass along with high strung vocals meld to bring you a sound based in tradition that claims its own original space.

CURTIS BLACKWELL AND FRIENDS Curtis Blackwell is well known for his musical prowess and storied career. He brings along a host of traditional pickers to recreate the traditional bluegrass sound. Blackwell is considered a pioneer of southern bluegrass and his storied career has many fascinating turns, including a stint as one of Bill Monroe's Bluegrass Boys!!

The Piedmont Mule Chasers will be providing the old time music for the contra dance on Friday night. Wild and wooly dance tunes to keep pace with the fantastic caller, the lead instrument of the Chasers will be provided by 2016 South Carolina Fiddle Champion Andy Brooks. The band will be from four to 12 people providing a spectacle of sound and vision. Bring your dance shoes and come out to the lead in event for the Appalachian Homecoming
